A new phase: acting in the spirit of the Chapter

We are now entering an essential phase: the practical implementation of these guidelines in our provinces, communities and centres. These declarations are not just words, but calls to action in response to the specific challenges of our time.

• Transmission of the charism: let us design formation programmes that bear witness to the beauty and relevance of our vocation to hospitality. Let us commit ourselves to a universal culture of hospitality, tailored to reflect local circumstances.
• Governance and collaboration: Let us promote an inclusive and participatory style of governance, making the most of the talents and skills of all our brothers and co-workers.
• Ecological commitment: let us respond to the urgent call to take care of Creation by implementing concrete and sustainable actions.
• Responding to emerging needs: Let us be there for the most vulnerable people, whether they are facing mental health challenges, exclusion, isolation or migration.
• Solidarity and finance: Let us strengthen our charismatic work, while ensuring its viability thanks to transparent management and strategic collaboration.
• The life of the Brothers: Further to the reflections of the Chapter, we, Brothers Hospitallers, reaffirm our commitment to live our vocation with spiritual depth and fraternity, serving the sick and the needy with renewed dedication. We also seek to intensify cooperation with our lay co-workers, in a spirit of mutual trust and respect, so that together we can bear witness to the mission of hospitality. Finally, we are particularly attentive to our elderly and sick brothers, caring for them and appreciating the value of their experience.
