The Noviciate is a two-year period.
The main aim of the Novitiate is to enable the Novice to have a deep personal experience of his relationship with God (prayer development), the community and suffering humanity, to grow in self-knowledge and to continue to discern his vocation so as to freely and responsibly respond to the call to follow Christ. At this stage the new Brother learns about religious life, and many other things… and at the same time working within the Hospitaller ministry.
